Dr. Katy places a high value on continuing education and is studying for the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties orthopedics specialist certification exam this year. She strives to use the most current evidence to inform her evaluations and treatments with an emphasis on manual therapy and the implementation of a personalized home exercise program or HEP. (Said HEP will be designed with your level of comfort and activity in mind, because after all, what good is a set of exercises if you don’t do them consistently?)
Dr. Katy enjoys working with the general population and using a patient-centered approach to help you meet your personal PT goals. She values you and the relationship with you, therefore, your appointments with her are always one-on-one and individualized to your specific issues and needs. Your appointments may be between 60 and 90 minutes depending on case complexity.
Dr. Katy’s interests outside the realm of physical therapy include: encaustic and acrylic painting, stained glass art, volleyball, Terry Pratchett novels, daydreaming about writing the next Harry Potter, and spending time with her dalmatians (Lark and Sprout), her poodle (Sammy) and her rescue hermit crab (Wilson).
