Julie specializes in working with families and children in need of Mental Health Support. She has extensive expertise in treating traumatic stress, anxiety related disorders, depression, oppositional behaviors and a wide range of parenting difficulties. Julie particularly enjoys working with adolescent mental health as today’s adolescents face tremendous family, social, and academic pressures. Providing a safe and caring environment to support adolescents and their parents in wellness can be beneficial during this often tumultuous time.

Julie received her Bachelor Degree in Social work from Meredith College in 2003 and her Master Degree in Social work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005. Julie became a fully licensed clinical social worker in 2014. She is rostered in several evidence based treatment modalities including: Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, and Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-up. Julie is also rostered as an adoption clinician with The Center for Adoption and Support Education
Julie currently accepts private pay clients and can assist clients in filing for out of network benefits. A sliding fee scale may be available on a limited basis.
